This holy card is done in one of our favorite art styles, the Beuron Art School, named after the Benedictine abbey in Germany where it started. The style involves art composed with a structure of circles and triangles designed to give the resulting picture a formal calm and lend itself to spiritual contemplation.

If you look at the picture for awhile, you 'll see the many implied triangles and circles. If they don't come to mind, consider the shape of the dove or the leaves. Or you might check out the "chalice" picture in our shop, which is a Beuron "blueprint" for a chalice which shows the triangles and circles they used.

On the back are two beautiful prayers from St. Catherine of Sienna, both called her “constant” prayer. They seem really special to us, and we think you’ll enjoy them as much or more than the picture.
